Coming to a bookshelf (or e-reader) near you in November 2014: the London volume of the History Press’s Great War Britain series!

From the author of the Great War London blog, book explores the history of London and Londoners during the First World War.

Like the blog, it combines broad sweep history of the impact on the city with individual stories of Londoners in the war. Some of the stories will be familiar to regular readers of the blog, but in the book the full context of the individual events and stories is set out. The book is illustrated with contemporary images of wartime London.
